Biography

Ron Crawford was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX as a child he found himself to have a deep love for music, and at age 13 he taught himself to play the guitar. While attending Junior High School and High School Ron played in bands playing in the Rock-n-Roll era of the 1960s.

Even with his love for music he had a dream of one day becoming a Police Officer because he loved helping others. He fulfilled that dream in 1970 by attending the Police Academy and going to work for the Hurst Police Department as a patrol officer. While working full time in the police force he still had a love for music and in his off time he began writing songs.

Ron has always had a soft spot in his heart for children and has written several songs about tragedies about children in our area. In 1996 after learning of the death on nine year old girl Amber Hagerman he dedicated together with Mike Paschal a song called Protect our Little Ones, which is the only song that Ambers mother calls Ambers song. In 1998 Ron wrote the song Back the Red after learning of the death of some fireman in the Metroplex. In 1999 when four young girls were killed in an auto accident caused by a drunk driver Ron wrote a song titled Good Bye Good Friends which has been made in a video and has been used through out the state and around the country, this was viewed by Governor Bush and the House of Representatives, and because of this it helped to bring out down the alcohol point level from .10 down to .08.

After learning of the tragedy in New York City of 911, Ron and co-writer BobbyBlackburnwrote the song titled Our Flag Still Flies For All.

In 2002 Ron signed with Mi Mo Jo Productions to get his songs to the upcoming artist of the Metroplex. Ron writes traditional Country, Contemporary, Country, Gospel, Novelty, Christmas and Patriotic songs. Several artists are currently using Rons songs and plan on recording them to their next project.
